Former MPs file lawsuit against CEC decision that terminated their mandates

The lawyers of the former MP, Dashamir Tahiri, handed over at the
Administrative Court two lawsuits, demanding a suspension of the Central
Election Commission decision, which terminated his mandate.

“Mr.Tahiri should be allowed to go in Parliament until the court decides. The CEC decision is not final and there is no obstacle for him in Parliament”, lawyer Fatmir Braka declared.

The lawyer added that the decriminalization law has constitutionality problems, especially as regards the rehabilitation of a person who has been convicted a long time ago.

Former MP Shkelqim Selami has also filed a lawsuit at the Administrative Court, which will take a decision within the next week.
