Former MP Arben Rakipi found not guilty by court

The Court of Tirana accepted the Prosecution’s request to suspend investigations against former MP for the Party of Justice, Integrity and Unity, Aqif Rakipi, who was involved in a fatal car crash last year.

The Prosecution stated that Rakipi had no field of view to see the pedestrian who walked in front of his vehicle.

As for the fact that he left the scene to turn himself over to the next police precinct, the prosecution said that it was due to the psychological shock.

The relatives of the victim also said they had no reserves against the former MP.
