The former Parliament Speaker and former Democratic Party MP, Jozefina Topalli, declared for Top Channel that she doesn’t have a concrete answer for her political future, but she knows for sure that she will not stay indifferent.
“We are in the conditions when the people need someone to tell the sincere truth. The current government is taking the country to extreme poverty, with Albanians abandoning their country. There are only news about drugs every day, about death and murders and robberies, and this is just half of the problem. The other half, probably even worse, is the corruption of the opposition by this government”, Topalli said.
According to Topalli, the right win in Albania has been eliminated, keeping her accusations against Lulzim Basha: “No government in the world would have stayed in power after the scandal of the Minister of Interior”, Topalli declared.
She is convinced that the Rama-Basha agreement of May 18th is still undergoing.
“They continue their own agreement, even when they keep making pressure for a new bargain”, the former Speaker said.
As for her colleagues who left the DP same as her, Patozi, Bode, Imami and Ruli, Topalli said: “I don’t know what they think, but this is not the Democratic Party. There is an entire ocean between Lulzim Basha’s words and acts. He never says the truth”, Topalli said.
