The opposition’s candidate for the Diber Municipality will not have the
support of the former local branch leader, Rrahim Kaleci, dismissed in
April after restructuring procedures.
“I am a simple member of the DP and my vote goes to the party, but I will not lead the campaign. Due to malicious accusations encouraged by specific segments of the DP, I have decided to not stay in Dibra during the campaign”, Kaleci said.
He said that last year, when the DP lost Dibra local elections, Kaleci says many thought the responsibility was his, although the DP Mayor was running for the fourth consequent time.
Kaleci has even been accused that he was bought by the opponents, for which he vows to raise charges.
