Telekom Serbia has asked the official authorization of the Albanian government to buy Telekom Albania. Top Channel has learned that directors of Telekom Serbia have met this Wednesday with the Minister of Infrastructure, asking the government’s consent for the purchase.
Today’s guest on “Top Talk”, Edith Harxhi, director of the “Albanian Policy Center” and former Deputy Foreign Minister, said that this is not a business agreement, but a national security threat to all Albanian citizens. She asked the president to gather the National Security Council immediately.
Harxhi said that the personal data of Albanians should not be left in the hands of Serbia, which isn’t even a NATO member.
“This is a national security issue. I ask President Meta to gather the National Security Council. The personal data of the Albanian people should not be given away like this. We cannot leave the entire communication data in the hands of our neighbours. Serbia isn’t even a NATO member”, Harxhi said.
