Sadetin Fishta, former Director of RENEA Special Forces, said for Top Channel that this team doesn’t take orders to shoot. They simply follow procedures and their actions are based on the circumstances, without influence from outside events.
RENEA is the elite of the Albanian police, called the “Elimination-Neutralization Team for Armed Elements”.
Fishta, who has been Director of this force for 10 years, said that this Sunday they only respected the law.
“RENEA doesn’t act on outside commands. They react based on extreme needs”, Fishta said, adding that the men were only focused on the criminal element, not on his political or ethnic affiliations.
“When this criminal element puts the lives of citizens in danger, and when he shoots directly towards them, of course that the consequences are fatal”, he adds.
