The former Albanian Prime Minister, Pandeli Majko, doesn’t think that Albania is at risk by the US-Iran conflict.
More than 3000 members of the Iranian opposition are sheltered in Albania, but Majko says that it would be impossible for our country to be at any risk.
Invited on Top Channel’s “Top Talk”, the former Minister underlined that by moving the Middle-Eastern conflict to Europe, that would be very problematic for Iran.
“Moving the Middle East to Europe would be more problematic for them. In the Middle East, what they do differs from what they say”, Majko declared.
Khamenei had declared earlier this day that Albania was “a small, but very diabolic country in Europe, which has American elements cooperating with Iranian traitors. They are working together to plot against the Islamic Republic”.
As regards the situation between Iran and the USA, Pandeli Majko declared that what is happening right now looks like a confrontation, but it is the continuity of a long history of conflict. As for Teheran, Majko said that it is a regional element with a very negative impact.
The tension between the USA and Iran culminated with the murder of the Iranian General, Qassem Soleimani.
