When the country was run by the Democratic Party, the authorities of the
Ministry of Interior had never found any flaw with private firms that
handled the Tirana Airport Security.
The former Chief of Police, Zijadin Allaraj, says that these new findings today may be due to the consumed equipments during this time, and the responsibility, according to him, falls directly on the opposition.
Allaraj says that the police is responsible for the security inside and outside the perimeter of the airport. All entrance gates, according to him, were guarded by Tirana State police officers.
