The sudden temperature rise has increased the danger of fires in Kukes. A fire broke up last night in the Koretnik mountain.
“Cases are unknown, while the forest exploitation employees were engaged to put it out, with the help of the Terthore Commune villgers”, Forest Exploitation experts declared.
“The fire danger in this period is increasing. This has made us take measures for controlling the situation. In cooperation with the local administration, we have established groups that operate against signals and fires, which enables a 24 hour control of the situation. Specialists are required to have a better cooperation with the local leaders, while 70% of the forest assets are now managed by the local administration”, Specialists say.
