The Albanian Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati, attended the OSCE
ministerial meeting which focused on the current security situation in
Europe and the reevaluation of the OSCE role, as an organization that is
facing distrust among its member countries.

For this reason, OSCE has not been able to take important decisions regarding its leading posts, for several months now.

Minister Bushati underlined that the unpredictability which is damaging security in Europe has also started to damage the cooperation culture that is the core of OSCE.

“We have to be aware that dialogue increases our ability to understand the security situation, but its purpose should not be to review our rules or to endlessly keep seeking consensus”, Bushati said.

The Albanian Foreign Minister said that cooperation is indispensable for preventing violent terrorism. Bushati added that its rules should not be infringed. Otherwise, it will damage its efficiency in this battle.
