While the Election Day is getting closer, the political situation is
very tense after the amnesty decree issued by President Ivanov.
The Commission of Foreign Policy in Parliament summoned representatives of the Foreign Ministry in Parliament, for a urgent reporting regarding the situation in Macedonia and the role of the Albanian factor.
Deputy Minister Odeta Barbullushi said that the President’s amnesty has escalated the political destabilization.
“The amnesty has undermined the objectives of the Perzhino agreement. It pardons people coming accused of corruptive affairs”, Barbullushi declared.
The meeting continued for one hour behind closed doors. Top Channel sources say that the discussion focused on the role of the Albanian community in Macedonia. It was reported that the BDI is in favor of the elections of June 5th, while the PDSH has no public stance on this.
There was also a description of the small parties which have left the political scene recently, and the importance they might have in the Macedonian political arena.
The Foreign Ministry was asked to keep constant contacts with the situation, by avoiding the interventions in the internal policy of Macedonia.
