Food VAT removal

Prime Minister Berisha inaugurated some public investments in the
Lapardha and Sinja villages, from where he rejected the opposition’s
request for removing the VAT on some vital goods for the citizens.

After he inaugurated the road at the Lapardha commune, in Otllak, the Prime Minister held a meeting with the residents of these areas.

“The opposition leaders want to remove VAT on the goods that you produce, for attacking the government. Their goal is to make you not vote the government anymore. VAT will not be removed, because, as anywhere in the world, there will be subventions by the state. We will not remove VAT on imported goods, because the businesses will not reduce their prices. All that will happen is that the some political parties will earn more, using these businesses”, Berisha declared.

Same as in Tropoje, Berisha expressed the majority’s stance about the laws that require qualified majority.

“The Socialist Party leaders are using the power given by the electors to block the laws that require qualified majority and which are vital for the EU integration. 95% of the other laws cannot be blocked by those who use the electors’ power to block their best aspiration. We will progress with our integration”, Berisha underlined.

Berisha also inaugurated the road of Sinje village.

Brace: Berisha, demagogic tour

Right after the Prime Minister’s visit in the Berat district, the Socialist MP, Erjon Brace, declared that the Prime Minister is making a demagogic tour by inaugurating the same roads several times.

“He doesn’t resolve anything, he simply makes propaganda. Although the agenda was kept secret, the Prime Minister is making a demagogic tour in Berat of road inauguration. His policy of road inauguration is outdated. Today he inaugurated a road that has been inaugurated three other times”, Brace declared.
