Christmas and New Year’s dinner becomes each year more expensive, with prices getting a hike during these days. However, it doesn’t seem the case for 2019.
Citizens say that the November 26th earthquake has somehow dimmed the holiday spirit, and traders confirm that citizens are spending less.
The few days before the New Year’s Eve, when most Albanian families hold their family dinner, as they wait for the New Year, are usually the days when food prices get a hike. It remains to be seen whether 2019 will keep seeing these prices low.
