Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future After the Morina Border checkpoint, which keeps the record for the flux
of emigrants that return to Albania for the holidays, Kapshtica and
Kakavija checkpoints are also facing dozens of people each day, with the
peak expected to be on November.
According to the official data of the State Police, Morina has marked 804.351 entries in July 27th, a flux that has increased compared to last year.
Statistics show that during the June-July period 150.047 people have entered from the Kakavija border checkpoint, while last year, in the same period, the number was only 95.868. Even in Kapshtica there is an increase of the number of people that have entered in the last two months, with 147.955 people for this year and 99.388 people for June-July of last year.
The State Police declares that in total 2.789.253 people have entered Albania, nationals and foreigners, while the number for the same period of this year is 2.800.400 citizens.
