Flux at the Kakavija checkpoint

The Kakavija border checkpoint recorded a flux of emigrants who are returning in Albania for the winter holidays.

More than 550 emigrants have come from Greece only in the first hours of the morning.

Sources from the customs say that both border checkpoints, the Albanian and the Greek one, are working in full capacity.

Kakavija is a key border checkpoint for the emigrants that return to Albania, and long queues are always present.

The latest are recorded mostly when the emigrants return to the migration countries for returning to work, after the winter or summer holidays.

There are many cases when the Greek customs, even in peaking moments, prefer to work with reduced capacity.

 When there are long queues, their preferred justification remains the computer defects, which make the car queues reach several kilometers.s also a flux of emigrants in Kapshtica, where 4000 persons have passed in 24 hours.

The customs authorities say that for the moment there are no problems and that the Greek part of the customs is working with four tolls.
