Floods, damages to be paid by KESH

The floods damages in the Sub Shkoder area should be paid by KESH, but the latter is in financial difficulties.
The news was given by the Minister of Agriculture, Genc Ruli, while inspecting the works for flood protection.
The Interior Minister, Bujar Nishani, and the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Protection visited Shkoder for inspecting the embankment repairs and the preparation for the emergency teams in case of floods.
The Agriculture Minister declared that they have invested 10 million USD and 95% of the investments have been achieved. This is only 13rd of the total investments that will be made in Shkoder. As for the compensation, Ruli declared that it should be paid by KESH, but they are in financial difficulties, due to the low energy production during this summer.
The Interior Minister, Bujar Nishani, asked the local structures to stay in full alert for any problematic situation that might be repeated. He guaranteed the local administration leaders that the government will give maximal attention for supporting all structures for preventing the floods in the ara.
On last December, Shkoder and Sub Shkoder experienced heavy floods that were considered as the biggest in the last 150 years, causing a damage of more than 30 million USD.
