The state committee for the 100th anniversary of independence, gathered
under the Prime Minister’s lead, took some decisions regarding Albania’s
100th anniversary of independence.
The Committee supported with their votes the plan for the Vlore Square. Berisha declared that the “Flag’s Square” should be considered a culture monument. The Vlore Square is the main square in the southern city of Vlore, where the Albanian delegates raised the Albanian flag 100 years ago and declared Albania’s independence on November 28th 1912.
The Committee also asked an international competition for realizing the TV ad for the 100th anniversary of independence and approved in principle the list of main activities, including the creation of a website.
On his speech Berisha underlined once again the necessity to establish the real truth of the Albanian history, as a vital process for the future of a nation.
