Fiscal amnesty postponed

Prime Minister Sali Berisha declared in the government meeting that the
deadline of the fiscal amnesty will be postponed to August, only for
reassessing the citizens’ residences.

Business will not benefit from this postponement, and the amnesty for them ends this week.

“The Ministry of Finances must postpone the deadline for the residence registration until August 31st, so that the emigrant can be able to legalize their residences. This is an indispensable request, mostly due to the big flux at the registration office”, Berisha declared.

Berisha also notified that the Albanian state would use a new approach against autism, which affects 450-500 children each year.

“It is indispensable to install the early autism diagnosing units at pediatric hospitals, to prepare our own experts and end the polyvalent centers for problematic children. These centers must be categorized with daily centers for children over 18”, Berisha declared.

The PM warned a new state movement, aiming the volunteer engagement of the citizens to clean the environment.

“The local administration should support the initiative of the civil society for environment. The environment protecting laws are very good, but Albania is still far from the norms that are needed”, Berisha declared.

The head of the Albanian government underlined that the Ministry of Environment must take all measures and decide all areas where there should be interventions from administrations, schools, institutions, communities throughout the country and to engage on this day for the environment.

The government has decided April 20th to be the day of a clean Albania, an initiative copied by the civil government, which had decided a similar activity by the beginning of May.
