Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The Ministry of Finances published the results of the fiscal amnesty two
weeks before the deadline expires. The Deputy Minister of Finances,
Alfred Rrushaj, declared that considerable capitals have been legalized,
while the state budget has profited about 20 million USD in taxes.
“In total, the evaluated capital mounts up to 165 billion ALL. 42 billion ALL have been pardoned to citizens and businessmen, which they have in their hands as capitals. The tax for the entire pardoned capital is 2 billion ALL, or 20 million USD”, Rrushaj declared.
The individuals that have reassessed or legalized real estates were more active, while businesses were not as the Ministry of Finances expected.
Rrushaj emphasized that the deadline will not be postponed anymore, after March 31st. On the other hand, according to him, businesses have all legal guarantees for exploiting the remained time.
“The law offers all guarantees for every subject that profits from its institutions, including businesses. Their reassessed capitals must be completely protected after the law will be over”, Rrushaj explained.
