First session of trial between President of Albania and Mayor of Tirana

The Court of Tirana started today the trial for the lawsuit filed by the
President of Albania against the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, who is
accused of slander.

Only the legal representatives of both institutions were present in the first session. The lawyers of Mayor Veliaj requested time to study the lawsuit and its arguments.

The Court also took time by ordering a TV outlet to make available the footage in which Veliaj is shown accusing the President.
