Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The Tirana Prosecution announced its first pretence for the January 21st
elections. The prosecutor asked two years to prison for Armando Kasaj,
the former chief IT of the Prime Ministry’s network system with a
reduction of one third of the sentence.
Based on the FBI expertise, he declared that the footage of the violent demonstration of January 21st had been deleted, and that 11 of the 16 cameras had been recording with 25 frames per second.
The Prosecutor reminded once again that these registrations were not given to the Prosecution, but the General Secretary of the Prime Ministry declared that the cameras had been inactive since 2009.
The Prosecution declared that the server has been formatted right after the January 21st midnight, and until January 28th. Based on the US expertise, the prosecution declared that the files had been automatically accessed by the administrator.
The Prosecutor confirmed that during the preliminary investigations, Armando Kasaj admitted that he had copied the images, but the Prosecution has received footage of one day after January 21st, not the images during the demonstration that have taped the murder of one person.
