In Albania was created the first asset managing financial company. Being
part of the Raiffeisen Group, this company also includes the first
Investment Fund in Albania.

“’The Raiffeisen Prestige Fund’ enables clients to invest in government bonds. It includes investments in treasury bonds, obligations and deposits starting with 5000 ALL”, says the General Director of the Raiffeisen Bank, Christian Canacaris.

The Minister of Finances, Ridvan Bode, declared that besides the new financial products in the Albanian market, the Investment Fund is a method that softens the negative consequences of the limitations set by the European Union to banks.

“This is an artifice for bypassing the bureaucratic administrative limitations that many banks are establishing to Albanian deposits. Our Banking system cannot serve to compensate the deficiencies of the analogue systems of the investors who have invested in Albania and other countries. This is a system for avoiding this blockage”, Bode declared.

Governor Ardian Fullani underlined that the new products are an indicator of the financial market development. Through the Investment Fund, a citizen could buy government bonds starting with 5000 ALL, when the current obligatory investments sum is much higher. The investment funds are more flexible and allow the citizens to sell them even before the legal deadline, without losing a single day of interest.
