First 100 days as Mayor

The Mayor of Tirana, Lulzim Basha, admits that the 124 files that will
receive property ownership titles had been signed by the former
Socialist Mayor, Edi Rama, and that had been blocked at the Real Estate
Registration Office.

Two days ago, the Socialist Councilors asked the name list of the 124 subjects for which the new administration declared that they had been working intensively.

“I have never pretended that I was the one who had signed these permits, but I have said and I will continue to say that the Tirana Municipality will undertake the responsibility to end the entire property registration process, which was withheld by the former administration, and these permits will be signed by me. What you are mentioning is related with old permits that remained hostage of the lack of communication between the Tirana Municipality and other institutions”, Basha declared.

For the first 100 days of his mandate as Mayor, Basha mentioned the property ownership titles that are expected to be released by the Real Estate Registration Office, the agreement for the Students’ Card, which will free the students from 60 taxes and fees, and resolving the traffic problem at the Skenderbej square.

The head of the Socialist Group of the Municipal Council, Aldrin Dalipi, decalred that for the first 100 days of Basha’s leadership there have been only firing and political persecutions of hundreds of workers, by replacing professional experts with militants. There has been a public deceit, by saying that the Municipality has removed taxes, when the Tirana citizens pay only two taxes that have not been reduced; the abuse of millions of EUR with the Skenderbej Square; and the deceit with the property registrations.

“Basha must find the courage to explain the Tirana citizens why he and his government, when he was Minsiter, blocked the property registration titles for many years, same as they did with Tirana’s budget for two consequent years”, Dalipi declared.
