At least 22 fire sources continue to be active in Albania. One ofthem, the one in Karaburun was identified late Friday, being thenewest problematic source of fire in the country.
Fire in Dajt remains active in the southern part, due to the strongwind. But while the good news from Dajti is that the National Park isnot endangered, another park as well important is burning. Situationremains problematic in Bozdovec, where even after the aid of numerousmilitary forces the fire threatens to expand his perimeter.
This source has been active for more than a week. Also in Korcadistrict there are fires in Hoçisht, Bradvicë and Gjyres. Also isreactivated the fire in Hondisht, Mokra.
Another problem is the situation in Shkodra district, where six fireshave been burning for many days. Municipalities of Kelmend, Shkrel,Qafa e Malit, Blerim, Iballe and Mide village are in flames anddespite the military aid and that from the residents of surroundingareas, still was not possible to improve the situation.
There are 4 active fires in Dibra’s Region. Another National Parkremains in flames, that of Lura. Official data state that the fare hasbeen put under control and flames are not making progress, but inDibra, fire has involved Klenja, in Trebisht municipality. Some firesin this region are fully extinguished.
There are two active fires in Lezha’s region, where that of Oroshcontinues to be the most problematic. Elbasan district, has 2 activefires, one in Librazhd district, in Mali I Raduzit, as well as inTushaj village, and Sult Commune.
3 fires remain active in Kukes, while on Friday a new center of fireappeared in municipality Margegaj, Tropoja. Meanwhile, civilemergencies are waiting help from the air, which this time will beprovided by the Slovenian state. According to the Interior Ministry,Slovenian helicopters are expected to arrive in Albania to assist inthe difficult situation in the country. Turkish helicopter has leftthe country.
