Fires return in Elbasan

A massive fire has engulfed olive grooves in Kusarth village, Bradashesh
Commune, Elbasan district. The fire broke up around Friday 18:00 and
battled with the firefighters for several hours, before being put out.
Aleksander Hodaj, the head of the Firefighter Department says that the flames spread due to the wind and the difficult terrain that delayed the arrival of the fire engines.
They have also asked the help of the military and residents, while police has started the investigations for determining the causes.
Sources say that the fire has eliminated more than 2000 square meters of olive groves, causing a big economic damage to the farmers. If the fire would not have been isolated in time, it could have risked the residences around.
