Fires make grenades explode in Erseka

Fires have swept hundreds of hectares of forests in Erseka, and there have been grenade explosions in Pepellash and Nikolica.
The flames fell in the areas at the border with Greece, where it is impossible for the fire engines to enter.
The residents of two villages have been evacuated, while authorities are demanding urgent interventions from the air.
The grenades that exploded might have been hidden in the forests in 1997.
Fires damage Lura forest
The fires at Lure have been activated one week ago.
According to the residents, if there will be no urgent intervention from the land and the air, the fire might endanger the residents of Lure and Mirdite.
The flames were helped by the strong winds and high temperatures, with teh fire affecting a considerable surface.
