The Albanian government is offering 100,000 USD in assistance to Greece, after the devastating fires near Athens.
The money will be used from Albania’s emergency fund, and it has the approval of the Prime Minister, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Finances.
Rama wrote on Facebook that Albania feels especially saddened for the tragic events in Greece and for the loss of lives. “The government approved a donation in sing of solidarity for our brothers and sisters”, he wrote.
The Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati, expressed his condolences to Greece and said that they are keeping contacts with the Greek Embassy about the Albanian community that might be affected by the tragedy.
