As can be seen from the recorded footage, the flames driven by the wind continue to burn the hills between the villages of Radhimë and Tragjas in the southwest of Albania, endangering the farms and vineyards located along the new ‘by-pass’ highway.
The high temperatures, but also the wind that blows mainly at this time of the day helps the fire to progress. The firefighters of Vlora are working to isolate the flames and extinguish them.
Two fire engines and at least ten firefighters are on the ground to fight the flames along the Radhima area. The flames are burning mostly low vegetation areas, but also endangering the stables or vineyards that are located at a height along the new highway, above the village of Radhima.
