Hundreds of hectares in forests and pastures have been burned down in
Northern and Southern Albania. The experts of the Forest Directory say
that there are 30 active fires throughout the country, which required
the help of all civil emergency forces.
The forest police inspector, Genci Hoxhaj, declared that all fires have been caused by people, accidentally or intentionally, who have brought very great damages.
Many of the fires require help from the air to be put out. Experts of the forest directory say that there is a high cost to put out those fires, and often it is very difficult.
A very important role must be played by the local administration and the heads of communes, who must not stay indifferent every time that there are fires.
