The Minister of Finances, Arben Ahmetaj, said that youth employment remains a challenge of the new government.
He said that the employment office must play a more important role.
“87,000 people have been employed in four years through the employment offices, 35% of the total. This is not enough”, Ahmetaj said.
He added that there are 36,000 jobs demands from businesses, but there are no specialists to fill them.
“Professional is our challenge. We are still far from reaching the objective, despite the high number of young people taking those studies”, Ahmetaj declared.
