The Minister of Finances, Arben Ahmetaj, responded to the accusations made by the Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, for constructions and employment.
“Loans for construction are on the rise, based on the Bank of Albania data. New loans for real estate have increased with 7.9%. This is a very important data. The economic growth was followed by increased employment. The unemployment during the second term is expected to go from 17.6% to 13.6%”, Ahmetaj declared.
The Minister of Finances added that 14,000 new businesses were opened during 2017. 2540 were opened only for the first two months of 2018, 248 of which are foreigners.
As for the Tirana Municipality, he said that the permits given for construction in 2014 are almost similar to those of 2017, concretely 24.9 billion ALL in 2014, and 24.79 billion ALL in 2017.
