“Fiks fare”, the massacre of rivers

Top Channel’s investigative program, Fiks Fare, focuses this episode on
the massacre against the Drin, Berdice and Devoll Rivers.

The massacre continues with the same rate, regardless the decision of the National Water Council that forbids riverbeds in this period of the year.

Earlier the month, Fiks Fare reported that the Fier thermal power plant, a state owned property, is being prepared to be sold as scrap metal through an auction.

The money would go to the state budget, but the plant parts are already being sold off by mysterious trucks that work by night. The newly appointed administrators might be the organizers of the theft, or responsible for allowing it to happen.

Fiks Fare cameras discovered the method how the Fier thermal power plant is being stolen even today.

On February, Fiks Fare showed how difficult it is to receive a biometric passport when you are an Albanian emigrant abroad. Fiks Fare reported that the Albanian emigrants pay 50 EUR to the embassy mediators for receiving the document more easily and faster.
