Fifth edition of PriFest

For Basholli, PriFest is the right event for her premiere.

“I didn’t know that the festival would open with a movie of mine, but it was such a huge honor. It really has exceeded our expectations”, Basholli says.

Present in the ceremony was the Minister of Culture, Memli Krasniqi, who showed his optimism for the artistic quality of films in Kosovo.

“This was another proof that this is the right approach, and Basholli’s was a film that showed a tragedy that we all have suffered. I give my best to her and the film, and there’s no doubt that it will participate in many other festivals and will follow the path of other successful films that we have had in the recent years”, Krasniqi declared.

The official opening of the festival was made by the Bosnian actor of international fame, Velibor Topic, who four years ago won the Best Male Actor award from this festival.

“Reaching this level in just five years makes us very happy, especially now that we have more sponsors and we feel more proud, because this values our work and makes us feel that we have done something right so far”, declared Vjosa Berisha, Director of Prifest.

For seven days, Prifest will show 4500 minutes of premiere, and it will have four juries, even one of the media, made of journalists from Kosovo and Albania. The golden sponsor of this year is Digitalb.
