Fier, violence at City Council

Fier has two chairmen in one building, and all their supporters have been involved in a fight today. Two persons were injured with punches and gun strokes on the head. The injured who were sent to hospital were Alket Sulaj, secratary of the Chairman of the District Council, Vangjel Ndreko, a Socialist representative, and Flamur Buzi, from the left coalition in the city council.

They have been attacked in the City Council by a group of people that were led by Artur Shehu, a right coalition councilor, and the Chairman of the City Council, elected by a voting that is still in courts.

The injured are being cured in hospitals and have reported the violence to the police. The violence has been extreme and has caused panic among the employees, who have run outside. They have seen armed people who were hitting the others brutally.
