Dozens of residents from the Dërmenas village, Fier district, blocked the entry of the CEZ Company building, as a sign of protest.
They closed the door of the main building and did not allow the employees to start their work, since they have been living without electrical energy for 23 days.
CEZ representatives declared that this village will be supplied with energy only after starting to pay the bills.
“This is the policy of our company, until the residents of this village will start to pay the bills. We will not supply the villages and communities that abuse with the electricity and do not pay the bills. 99% of Dërmenas residents owe 25 million ALL to CEZ. When most of them will start paying the bills, the company is responsible and will supply them with energy”, declared Fabiola Haxhillari, representative of CEZ.
The residents have started to make illegal connections, but Haxhillari declared that they will ask the help of the Police for not allowing these illegal acts.
