Fier, industrial market removed

The vendors of the Fier industrial market were not allowed by the Municipal Police to continue their activity.
The Fier Municipal council has decided that the Industrial Market area will be used for the construction of a sport arena.
The 270 vendors will be transferred to a private market in the city suburbs. With the help of the police, the Municipality did not allow the vendors to enter their working places, while the bulldozers were ready to demolish them.
This decision was opposed by the vendors, who did not decide to go in a private market, but in premises that are administered by the Municipality. After three hours, a group representing the vendors entered the Fier Prefecture for resolving the problem.
