Fier, 100 families flooded by Gjanica

The residents who live by the Gjanica River were also damaged. This
River constantly destroys the residences and businesses that are build
alongside, due to the frequent and sudden floods.
The Fier Municipality, in cooperation with MPs of the district, have given donations for the 100 families that were identified by the Emergency Headquarters.
“We all know that this is not the final solution. This matter is on the government’s table. We are waiting for the first expropriation funds. We will start a serious work not only for the flooded families, but also for the city of Fier”, declared the Mayor of Fier, Baftjar Zeqo.
The final solution for Gjanica comes only after the implementation of a restructuring project, and by removing some houses built on the dangerous areas. The project will be led by the Fier Municipality.
