The cleaning of the Albanian waste materials has a special place in the agenda of the Slovenian European MP, Tanya Fayon.

During her official visit in Tirana, in the framework of the fourth inter-parliamentary meeting, she will support the citizens’ movement for cleaning their country in one day.

“We will visit Albania for the regular inter-parliamentary meeting. As I know, Albania is trying to become part of the international activity ‘Clean our country in one day’. This took place in Slovenia too, and found great success. All citizens cooperate for cleaning their cities, countries and roads. I think that this is a good idea for Albania too. I will try to support this project during my meetings in Tirana, and I hope that the Albanian citizens will undertake the responsibility to clean their country in one day”, Fayon declared.

In last April, Albania engaged in the regional conference “Let’s clean Balkan in one day”. The international movement announces that on 24 March 2012, more than 300 million volunteers from 100 different countries will engage for cleaning their countries from the waste materials. It is valued that any individual causes 1.5 kg of waste materials per day, but this varies to 1 kg per day in poor countries and 3 kg per day in developed countries.
