Farewell to Sheri Mita

Friends and relatives paid the last homage to actor Sheri Mita, who passed away yesterday at 69.

The ceremony was held at the National Theater, where he contributed as actor, comedian and playwright.

Sheri Mita wrote six dramas and comedies, the most famous of which are “Dy Krisma ne Paris” and “Keshilli i Ndrikullave”.

Mita’s best friend since their childhood, Sulejman Dibra, declared that Sheri Mita had affected his career largely, while the well known theater actress, Marjana Kondi, considered him a philosopher of the Albanian scene.

The Albanian President praised Mita’s contribution and expressed his condolences to his family and relatives.

Besides the famous cinema roles, Mita has also contributed largely as a director for National Theater screenplays and others in Fier and Korce.

His best known performances have been are in the movies “Ne fillim te veres”, “ Dora e Ngrohte” and “Gjeneral Gramafoni”.

Sheri Mita was honored with the “Golden Naim Frasheri Order” in 2004.
