The sudden death of a 62-year-old woman a month ago led family members to accuse the white shirts of negligence at the Durrës Regional Hospital. They say that the doctors did not give their mother proper care, accusing them of negligence.
Eljana Koçi said that her mother had signs of a heart attack and they went to the Durrës Hospital with clear signs, but the doctors did not act in time. “The emergency doctor says that he called the specialist to visit my mother, but the specialist says that no one called her. From 07:00 to 12:00, my mother was kept in the emergency room with morphine, then she was taken to the hospital in Tirana. The whole delay led to her death”, says Eljana.
Fiks Fare brought the confrontation between the Durrës emergency doctor and the specialist with voice and image, where they blamed each other. The emergency doctor claimed with the cardiologist that he had notified her, while the cardiologist denied that she had been notified by her colleague. “I am not stupid not to go down to the patient” says the cardiologist, while in a conversation with the deceased’s daughter, the emergency doctor Albion Kazazi among other things says: “People are like flies to me, each one should bear the blame and responsibility that he has, I don’t care of it at all”.
In the conversation that was broadcast on the Fiks Fare show, the two doctors admit that they play ping-pong for the culprit, forgetting that it is about the loss of a life.
