The Ministry of Health announced today (Saturday, 19.12.2020) that in the last 24 hours in Albania, 538 new cases of Covid-19 have been identified, and 8 people have lost the battle with the disease.
The total number of infections has reached 52,542 persons, of which 23,637 are active cases of the disease.
The Ministry of Health announces that despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours did not manag to win the battle with the disease 8 citizens in COVID hospitals: 7 citizens were from Tirana and 1 from Librazhi, aged 58-85 years.
In the last 24 hours, 405 citizens have recovered, bringing the number of healed people to 27,831 since the beginning of the epidemic.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection on the eve of the end-of-year holidays appeals to citizens to limit contacts, avoid gatherings and celebrate within their small family circle.
