Failed government, country in chaos

“According to the logic used by this failed government that is making Albania fail too, even the fires are lit by the opposition and the crimes are committed by the opposition. Only in the last three months there have been murders and injuries on the damaged roads to a point that they can be compared with the lives lost in Iraq and Afghanistan”, Rama declared.

Referring to the majority’s stance against the amends offered by the opposition, the Socialist leader declared that this shows the dictatorial mentality of a government that aims to control everything and everyone. According to Rama, the SP stance in favor of lifting the immunity is very clear, after a thorough discussion that aims to give more power to the electors by guaranteeing an independent justice system.

“We have never expected the majority to vote in favor of these amends, because we don’t expect them to show that we are on the same level. We are not, because these propositions show who we are regarding the rule of law and justice, and what we want to built today in opposition and tomorrow in government”, Rama declared.

The SP leader mentioned the proposition of appointing Supreme and Constitutional Judges, together with the General Prosecutor, with 35th of the Parliament votes. According to him, this means that it is not a caprice of the opposition or an effort of the minority to rule, as the Prime Minister has called it.

“This proposition has been inspired to us by the Constitution of all EU countries. Not some, but all EU countries appoint the Supreme and Constitutional Judges by the Parliament. But this would mean having an independent judiciary, and judges who are morally capable to judge even politicians. This makes the government feel threatened by the possibility of being tried for their illegal deeds”, Rama declared.

The opposition leader declared that there must be dialogue in every area of Albania, until the Election Day, in order to present the SP program to the Albanians as the alternative that will change the face of this country, according to Rama.

“We will dialogue with the Albanians for the elections. We will discuss the fair taxation and flat taxes, the real employment and the unemployment increase. We will discuss about the Albanian villages who produce their goods to make a living, and the villages that have been abandoned by the government. We will discuss about a health service that responds to the needs of everyone, and not only to the thickness of the wallet. We will discuss about a good education and an education with valueless diplomas”, Rama declared.
