While the judge panel entered the courtroom for the second session of
Dritan Dajti’s case, the police made sudden inspections in the court’s
premises.

The second inspection was made with an explosive detection dog, and according to the Court Police, it is related with Dajti’s case.

Police inspected the entire perimeter, but didn’t say if they had any tip.

On the same time, lawyer Saimir Visha, summoned by the court, refused to defend Dritan Dajti in trial, saying that his name is not on the lawyer’s list and the court cannot order him for such cases, but the Commission of Legal Assistance, with a request made by the defendant.

The lawyer even asked Idriz Mulkurti, the rapporteur of this case, to be excluded. Visha declared that he and the judge have an old disagreement, due to an earlier request of the court for discipline measures against him.

This request was made after Visha did not present himself at Dajti’s process, but it hasn’t been taken in consideration by the Lawyer’s Chamber yet. In these conditions, the lawyer considers this conflict as a stalemate that stops the lawyer from addressing the court in equal conditions when he is asked to defend a client that no lawyer wants to work with.

The Court decided that Visha should hear the acts, while another judge panel will review the request to exclude Judge Mulkurti fromo the case.
