Exeuted in house arrest

Although in house arrest, with two police guards at the door, the 35
year old Gentian Beqiri was executed with a silencer inside his house,
in front of his father, who was shocked to the point that he had an
infarct and lost his life too.

Police suspects that the motive is retaliation for the murder of businessman Sokol Capja, for which the 35-year-old was being investigated. Since he was injured with a bullet in the shoulder, the court granted Beqiri house arrest.

But the murderers entered the house of Beqiri and presented themselves as his friends. The door was opened by the father and after entering, they shot Beqiri and left quickly. After the implication for the murder of Capja, Beqiri had also changed his name to Ardian Metaj.

A few minutes after the murder, the ambulances returned to Beqiri’s house, this time for his father, Nezir Beqiri, who suffered an infarct and died right after arriving at the hospital.

The Elbasan Police says that they know who the murderers are. First of all they arrested the two police officers who were tasked to guard him, and then started an operation for finding the authors, with the help of experts from Tirana.
