Brussels – EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi, present at the 11th meeting of the Stabilization and Association Council, said that today the future of Albania and the Western Balkans in the EU is being confirmed.
Through a post on Twitter, he writes: “At the Stabilization and Association Council #EU #Albania in Brussels today, confirming the future of Albania and the Western Balkans in the EU. This is a key priority for which we work. The EU continues to stand by the country and its citizens.”
The meeting was chaired by the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell, while the Albanian delegation was led by the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama accompanied by Foreign Minister Olta Xhaçka, SP Secretary General Taulant Balla and Chief Negotiator for Albania in the EU , Zef Mazi.
The Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Olivér Várhelyi, was also present representing the European Commission.
