In an interview for Serbian Media, the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, declared that Serbia is ahead of Albania as regards the EU integration process.
“This process is based on merits and Serbia is ahead of us because they are already negotiating, while we are looking forward to opening the negotiations this year. But it is a healthy race. We want to have a quicker progress, to be in the same position and join the EU together, with the presumption that Serbia will recognize Kosovo”, Rama said.
The Prime Minister commented the debate regarding Kosovo and the Special Court.
“I think it is an irreversible process. It is important to be open-minded about what is best for the country and what can be improved. I don’t think that this court is dangerous. If there is a discussion about improvement, that’s a good discussion”, Rama said.
