The European Union ignored the result of the referendum that was held
among the Northern Kosovo Serbs, and confirmed that the dialogue will
continue next Tuesday.
“I have absolutely nothing to add to what I have declared during the entire week. Our stance is already known, and I can confirm that the next dialogue round will be held next week, on Tuesday, in Brussels”, declared Maya Kocijancic, Spokesperson for the European Chief Diplomat, Catherine Ashton.
Despite the persistent questions about the possible consequences of this referendum, in which, according to the organizers, 99.7% of the voters rejected the Kosovo government, Kocijanic preferred to list the terms of the next dialogue.
“During the dialogue will be discussed about the regional cooperation and the implementation of the agreements reached between parties. As I have previously explained, the referendum is not a solution. The solution only comes through dialogue and consults”, she declared.
While Kosovo insists that the dialogue in Brussels is only about technical matters, and the next development of this process is expected to be seen soon, especially after the NATO requests for a political solution for Northern Kosovo.
