The Albanian environment laws fulfill all European parameters, but they
need to be implemented carefully. This was the declaration of the
European Union representative in Tirana, Clive Rumbold, who said that
this is not only a responsibility of the Ministry of Environment.
“Albania is increasing the capacities for a stable development. The EU has helped, especially in the past three years. The EU assistance has increased the need to implement the law, and we are expecting the European standards to be respected even here”, declared Clive Rumbold, Head of the EU Representation in Tirana.
“The candidate status is about efforts in reaching integration objectives in all sectors, including the environment. The process for approaching the law with the European legislation doesn’t end here. There is still much to do in this complex task, not only regarding the transfusion, but especially for the implementation of the legislation”, declared the Albanian Minister of Environment, Lefter Koka.
