The EU Commissioner for Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn,
declared from Durres that the justice reform needs to pass before the
summer holidays, so that there can be results by October.
Hahn said in a press release with the Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati, that after making an inventory of the implementation of five priorities, justice is the key one.
“This is a key element and we need a decision before the summer holidays. The Venice Commission opinions should be respected. The agreement should be respected in principle and the justice reform should pass. Passing it is the first step. The second step is implementing it. We need good implementation so that we can see results in October. Let’s hope they will be on the right track. If this is the case, I am optimistic”.
