The Ambassador of the European Union in Tirana, Silvio Gonzato, held a meeting today with the head of the SPAK Special Prosecutor’s Office, Altin Dumani.
In a post on Twitter, the European Union office in Tirana announced that SPAK is “a key player in Albania’s progress towards meeting EU enlargement standards”.
“By investigating and prosecuting high-level corruption and organized crime in Albania, SPAK is a key player in Albania’s progress towards meeting EU enlargement standards. We give our full support to this work and I was pleased to meet today with Chief Special Prosecutor Altin Dumani and key donors to identify ways to continue assisting SPAK to build its capacities,” an enthusiastic Gonzato wrote in the post.
